A nine-year-old basketball phenom is making national headlines after receiving a recruitment letter from the University of Miami.

Standing at 4’7″, Jaden Newman is the starting point guard for her high school varsity team in Orlando, Florida, averaging 14.8 points a game and 7.5 assists. She stopped by “America’s Newsroom” Wednesday with her dad and coach Jamie Newman to talk about her talent and future.
“It’s fun,” she said of playing against girls nearly twice her age. “You get to, like, cross people over, make them fall and everyone is like, ‘Oooohhh.’”
By age four, Jaden was dribbling two basketballs at once and making baskets with a regulation-size ball. Her YouTube highlight reel has almost 1 million views.
Dad Jamie says his daughter is thinking she’d like to play for the national champion UConn women’s team, but conceded that “a lot can happen” in nine years. Source
