AmandaBerryGinaDeJesus 3 girls escape after being kidnapped! + Ive been missing 10 years. Im here. Im free now!“I’ve been kidnapped. I’ve been missing 10 years. I’m here. I’m free now,” the frightened woman can be heard telling the operator. Scroll down to hear the frantic 911 call.

“Stay there with those neighbors, talk to the police when they get there,” the operator tells her.

“Are they on their way right now? I need them now,” Ms Berry can be heard saying.

Three people have since been arrested in connection with the case.

Amanda Berry, last seen more than 10 years ago, and Gina De Jesus, who went missing in 2004, were found after police received a call for help on Monday.

A third woman, identified as Michelle Knight, was also found in the house.

Charles, a neighbor of the house where the girls were found, told NewsNet5 Amanda Berry pleaded with him to call police.

“I heard screaming and I see this girl going nuts trying to get outside,” he told NewsNet5.

“I go on the porch and she said ‘Help me get out. I’ve been here a long time.’”

Ms Berry was carrying a small child when she escaped, Charles said.

Police arrested Ariel Castro, who had owned the house since 1992, Cleveland.com reports.

Police arrested Ariel Castro, who had owned the house since 1992, cleveland.com reports.

Two other people arrested are his brothers, CNN has reported.

Amanda Berry went missing on April 21, 2003 after calling her brother to say she was getting a lift home following a shift at Burger King. It was one day before her 17th birthday.

A year later, Gina De Jesus disappeared while walking home from school on April 2, 2004. She was 14 years old.

Just last month friends and relatives held a vigil to mark the 10-year anniversary of Ms Berry’s disappearance.

In January, a prison inmate was sentenced to 4 1/2 years after admitting he provided a false burial tip in the disappearance of Berry, who had last been seen the day before her 17th birthday.

A judge in Cleveland sentenced Robert Wolford on his guilty plea to obstruction of justice, making a false report and making a false alarm.

Last northern summer, Wolford tipped authorities to look for Berry’s remains in a Cleveland lot. He was taken to the location, which was dug up with backhoes.

Berry’s mother, Louwana Miller, who had been hospitalised for months with pancreatitis and other ailments, died in March 2006. She had spent the previous three years looking for her daughter, whose disappearance took a toll as her health steadily deteriorated, family and friends said.

Two men arrested for questioning in the disappearance of DeJesus in 2004 were released from the city jail in 2006 after officers did not find her body during a search of the men’s house.

One of the men was transferred to the Cuyahoga County Jail on unrelated charges, while the other was allowed to go free, police said.

In September 2006, police acting on a tip tore up the concrete floor of the garage and used a cadaver dog to search unsuccessfully for DeJesus’ body.

No special alert was issued the day DeJesus failed to return home from school in April 2004 because no one witnessed her abduction.

The lack of an alert angered her father, Felix DeJesus, who said in 2006 he believed the public will listen even if the alerts become routine.

Austrian girl Natascha Kampusch was abducted at the age of 10 in 1998 and held in a secret cellar by her kidnapper Wolfgang Priklopil for more than eight years, until she escaped on 23 August 2006.

Eleven year-old Californian girl Jaycee Lee Dugard was abducted from a street while walking from home to a school bus stop in 1991.

She was missing for more than 18 years and had two children aged 11 and 15 by the time she was released. Convicted sex offender Phillip Craig Garrido and his wife Nancy Garrido, were convicted of kidnapping and other charges in 2011.
